Trial Class Eligibility If you are a beginner you want to try judo for the first time to see if it is right for you, then you are eligible for a class on a trial basis. If you have judo experience and want to see if Kokushikai Judo Academy is right for you then you are also eligible for a trail class. In your trial class you will be allowed to participate in the general class format. Beginners will learn basic break falls, basic holding technique and be able to participate in the class instruction of the day. However, for protection, beginners will be asked to just observe the tachi-waza rondori (standing sparring) and zenpo kai tan (forward rolling). Once you decide to join Kokushikai you will then be matched with a experience member or instructor who will guide you through the randori experience. Experienced players with USJA, USJF or USJI insurance cards will be permitted to participate in randori in the first class.
