Would Barry Bonds make a good manager?

Probably not. A big part of managing these days is dealing with the media. He never enjoyed that part of being a player.

Richard S is confused. Without steroids, Bonds was hardly a "superstar". In fact, his career was in decline before he began juicing in 1990. But Bonds' arrogance and ignorance is what would keep him from being a good manager, or a passable human being for that matter.

Bonds is absolute trash and doesn't deserve to be part of the game. I hope the Giants lose 100 games this season since they've chosen to employ this piece of crap as a hitting instructor. Bonds is an stupid animal.

Obviously not. A manager would have to be concerned with ALL of his players, and Bonds was never concerned about anyone except himself.

Yes. With any hope he will bet on the game like Pete Rose did and get banned from MLB altogether.

Ewww!

yeah I could see him being a Manager at the 99 cents store.....

good question!

no not at all. a good manager is someone you look up to, and he doesn't fit that bill.

Yup his team would probably win the world series. They would all be on roids.

No. Superstars rarely make good managers/coaches because

they expect their players

to live up to the superstar's standards. And, in Bond's case, he

has trouble in getting people to like him.

I think Lonesome's memory may be failing him. Bonds put up some

super star-like numbers in Pittsburgh and did not need to start juicing

to be considered one. I still consider Henry Aaron the all-time homerun

king because of Bond's liberal use of steroids. But I agree with Lonesome;

the guy is trash and I hope the Giants lose 100 games this season.

I think Lonesome Road's memory may be failing him. He put up some

superstar numbers in Pittsburgh and did not need to start juicing to be

considered one. I agree with Lonesome, the guy is trash. I still consider

Henry Aaron the home run king.

Maybe

I didn't even know 7-11 was hiring.
