Wing Chun or Krav Maga?

First is good to tell you, that instructors are playing an important role in this...So whatever you choose, choose a good instructor, and place of training with good people there, that it will be appropriate for you, according to what you like.

Wing Chun is a martial art, with all its components and its aspects...Krav Maga is taught in the West mainly as a self-defense course. There is a big difference on the target group of people, on different martial arts, combat sports and self-defense courses. I wouldn't take a self-defense course...There is no point on it. A martial art from the other hand is something beautiful and effective, with many and different aspects of it...I suggest to go for the martial art and that is Wing Chun.

Many self defense courses do not teach anything of any significant value..The teach basically a lot of political correct (in their opinion), stuff like....the defender kicks the attacker in the balls and runs away or something...Lol!!!....Does anyone really needs someone to teach him/her that...???

In addition have you ever heard of a ship dealing with wolves?..Because many self-defense courses, seems to be teaching ship's tactics, against a wolf.

First and foremost it depends on the TEACHER. A style does not tell you whether you are going to learn anything. A crappy teacher is not going to teach you anything but crap regardless of the style.

There is nothing wrong in studying both styles if you can find qualified teachers. I done it and I have no regrets. Krav Maga is a self-defense system. It does not really care about forms or theories, but concentrates more on practical applications. Wing Chun is relatively more formalized and with sets of core ideas that the techniques are based upon. If you already made up your mind to study both, then what is the point of asking about experiences that you are going to get anyways?

Go with the one that has a better instructor. However, since you stated in your question that you enjoyed a new challenge and things that make you think, I believe you'll find more depth in wing chun that should keep you engaged. Either one studied long enough will result in you becoming a better person and a better fighter. By the way, I love the dude here who goes all in for wing chun and flames other arts when he took a solitary month of classes. Just goes to show you that advice on the internet is always suspect. Credit to that guy for at least being honest about his lack of experience, however.

I can't speak about Krav Maga as my experience with it is limited, but i am very familiar with Wing Chun. As long as you find a good Gwoon that teaches a practical & effective "No BS" interpretation of Wing Chun, i would recommend it. Be sure to find somewhere that allows live contact sparring and instructors that are happy to show you "hands on" the practicality of each technique. All the best.

Wing chun...anyone who's heard of it will under estimate it in favor of mma which is when they'll get a bad surprise

Wing chun is way better than Krav Maga except in wing chun u may have 4 forms to know but regardless of that ull still learn a ton of new things every time u show up...boxing/kb/muay thai and Krav Maga have limited tools but Krav Maga doesn't have the almost unlimited applications and combinations of tools that boxing/kb/mt have...ull eventually hit a ceiling in krav while falling back to nut shots and eye gouges...krav is expensive too :(

Wing Chun

Sounds like you've already made your mind up to me ;)

A word of warning though: at it's core I think that wing chun is a really effective system, but be very careful finding an instructor because sadly there are a LOT of snake oil salesmen in the art. Find out if the school trains in a genuinely alive way; in many places chi sau is the closest they get and this isn't good enough. Chi sau is a useful training tool but you will never, ever be able to defend yourself effectively if it's the nearest you get to a real fight during class

You want to feel and look good doing it = wing chun

You want something that will keep you alive on the street/in the military = krav maga

First and foremost, please don't tell me that "it depends on the fighter".

Although I agree with that statement, that is not exactly the question I'm asking.

I took Krav Maga for about a year and I liked it.

It was an hour away travel, but it was from a well known instructor, not something fake..

But I felt it getting repetitive or for whatever reason, I stopped enjoying the training as much.

I did learn basic strikes (punches, kicks, elbows, knees) which were obviously a huge improvement from when I did not know anything about fighting.

I learned releases from things like chokes as well.

I was thinking of trying Wing Chun this time.

From seeing reviews and videos, it seems like a much more tactical and strategic approach to fighting.

Not to say one is more effective than the other; I'm just commenting on the difference in style.

I usually enjoy things that also make you think.

Anyways, I'm going to try a few classes soon from Wing Chun maybe so I get a taste of both.

But in the mean time, does anyone have experience with both martial arts and care to share their opinions?

Which one do you prefer and why?
