Will Lance Berkman be a Hall of Famer?

It's unfortunate that Berkman played at the height of the "steroids era". No, I'm NOT saying that he used steroids but if he had played in an earlier era (1960s, 1970, and 1980s) and put up the same numbers as he did, he would probably have gotten in. But since he did played in a time where offenses were at an all-time high, he would have had to put up better offensive numbers than guys who played in an era were pitching was at an all-time high. Finally, he would have to be dominant at his positions, winning numerous SIlver Sluggers. He NEVER even won a SS.

No. As someone who played loaded offensive positions such as LF and 1B most of his career, you need a little more than 51.8 career WAR to be Hall of Fame material. He also never won an MVP, which has to factor in. He was never the best in his league, he never even finished second. He's a prime contender for the Hall of Very Good.

No if your claim to fame is 6 th in ROY won a two doubles and an RBI title 267 in WAR 145 in doubles 76 in HR 138 in RBI 312 in Average 324 in hits. He is a one and done less than 5 % guy. But relax he retires only 27 RBI career behind Derek Jeter.

Not quite. A great career. But not quite HOFer in my opinion.
