Will John Cena's Open Challenge get old pretty soon?

specially when heconstantly keeps winning the matches and keeping the belt?

Why is everyone being so hard on the open challenges? Just because it's John Cena? That's mature...

I've often complained belts aren't defended enough on Raw or SmackDown, so not only is it nice to see something at stake, it also gives a new way of having some more matches, which is what many people have complained about. It also doesn't have to involve any storyline to have it happen either.

Quit with the asinine hate with Cena. It's bordering on the ignorant anymore.

I don't think WWE really knows what it is doing with it. I think they have gathered opinions that defending a belt more makes it more prestigious, and that is true if you only defended the belt twice a year like it has been, but too much competition can make it repetitive and predictable. I mean kudos to Cena lately and putting over Ambrose and Stardust, but it's pretty clear WWE is making these guys look strong and has nothing in the works for them making it senseless.

Honestly if there end result was to have Cena surprisingly drop the title, even if it is to regain it later, or if Cena needed the resume this angle would be fine. The thing is Cena definitely doesn't need a better resume and I don't think they've really thought anything of this angle other then trying to get more prestige for the US title in the way they think how. They need to realize that angles need to also be interesting for them to be relevant and this one doesn't seem to be heading in that direction.

yeah. already is in my opinion. i get that they are trying to boost the prestige of the title but overexposure just kills it. the only way i can see this working out is if someone actually wins this open challenge. this situation is very reminiscent of when Cena debuted and beat Kurt Angle. if a young guy can come out and beat him and pass the torch it would be great. but if he just goes out and buries everyone on the roster the only person who benefits is Cena. the US Title loses prestige, every challenger looks bad, the fans get pissed.

It's just so he can bury people and jbl can kiss his *** all match and repeatedly say how all his matches are big

its basically the new kurt angle 5 minute challenge or what ever time limit that was

I guess so

YEP AND SO WILL YOUR QUESTION
