Nolan Ryan says that the Rangers might call up Manny Ramirez from Triple A Round Rock after the All-Star Break
Berkman will be back off the DL and the DH spot will be occupied, but I don't trust Berkman's knees to hold up till the end of the season.. Manny will get a shot this season.
There are rumors that the Rangers may try to swing a trade for Justin Morneau. If that happens I doubt Ramirez will get called up. Why would a contender want that goofy SOB in the clubhouse anyway?
He has 30 AB's, 3 HR's and batting .300. Berkman has bad knees and now a bad hip. He's a shell of himself. At least Manny is healthy, he's in terrible cardio shape but he doesn't have any injury issues.
They should call up him up. They need a bat. Why not?
