Why is the Mets' David Wright always in injury?

Because some players man up and play through minor aches and pains, but Wright isn't one of those guys. And why should he be?

Sandy Alderson is a terrific baseball man who doesn't make a lot of mistakes, but he made a doozy by giving Wright a seven year contract extension worth $138,000,000 in 2012. This came after Wright posted career lows across the board by missing 60 games in 2011, and after the guy hit just 10 homers with 72 RBI in 2010. Last year he missed 50 games and it appears that he'll miss more time now, since he's claiming his shoulder hurts, but the bottom line is that he gets paid whether he plays or not.

The Mets made this weakling the face of the franchise, and like the Yankees with Derek Jeter, it's going to wind up costing them. Wright's days as a productive player are all but over.

I wonder why NY teams keep overpaying weak or corrupt players to play 3rd base.

Some players are just injury prone, but it's hard to understand. For example, the leg injuries on the Blue Jays (reyes and bautista). How do you even pull a hammy in a sport like baseball which isn't THAT straining?

Because he's covered by Obamacare. Deal with it..

I WILL GET YOU YOU CHIPMUNK *****. I JUST ADDED 4 NEW STATIONS TO MY CABLE WITH ROGERS BUT AFTER YOUR UGLY DISPLAY, I WILL CANCEL THEM AND NEVER DEAL WITH ROGERS AGAIN ESPECIALLY WHEN BELL HAS BEEN OFFERING ME SO MUCH MORE, I DESPISE YOU CHIPMUNK AND YOUR FOZZIE LIKE FRIENDS, I WILL FOREVER TELL PEOPLE WHERE I LIVE TO GO BELL OVER ROGERS BECAUSE OF YOU, I HOPE YOU DIE SOON

It may sound like a stupid question, most athletes get injured, but this is a constant thing in the Mets' organization. Why?
