Why is the Atlanta braves doing the Seminole war chant?

Let me help you here ...

Why are the Atlanta braves doing a Seminole war chant?

OK ... here's the deal.

The Seminole Nation of which the majority live in the state of Oklahoma are not the owners/originators of the chant which is used by a lot of people to promote the teams they root for that are named for native peoples of this country.

As far as I know no Native American has ever made this harmless noise in battle/daily living for any reason.

Kind of like Cinco De Mayo for people of Mexican descent ... it has nothing to do with the Seminole Nation at all.

Regardless of who created it it is a way for fans to have fun as they enjoy the game.

Because like that football team in Washington there are some team names that are completely insensitive. If Native Americans made up a significant percentage of the players in baseball and football as the African Americans do in basketball John Malone and Dan Snyder would be treated like the pariahs they are much like Donald Sterling.

because they're southern idiots.

Gee, you don't think it has something to do with a Native American connection do ya? Jeeeez!

Have you ever been to Atlanta? If you were and saw what I did, you'd know why.

Lol at the southern idiots answer haha! I got family that live in the south and they're Braves fans. I always wanted to go to a Braves game and do the war chant with them
