I think the gauntlet on 3/19/2015's episode with the participants in WrestleMania's IC title match (except Barrett) was excellent enough to make that edition of Smackdown good enough.
Yeah smackdown hasn't been too hot lately. Remember back when they tried to keep smackdown relevant by always having them win the brand warfare storylines? Now they don't even do that; Cena doesn't even show up to smackdown anymore.

SmackDown is always lame before a PPV, especially Wrestlemania. Just as RAW gets bigger before them, SmackDown is better after them.
Probably because Stone Cold Steve Austin has retired, The Rock only makes appearances on special occasions and that Kurt Angle left for TNA and that Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit have died.
they are getting ready for wrestlemania and were showing stuff from raw that is leading up too the matches we should have a better smackdowns after wrestelmania next week should be the same
