Why do the two MLB teams in FLA.?

Miami is not a good team, and the Marlins have not done right with the community,

they are not a people's team, they have screwed the general public. They only

draw when they win.

The Rays have a good system and a good owner but a shitty stadium, and IMO MLB

should help them get out of there and send them to a better market with a better fan

base. The market and the fan base have failed big time!

Right now, Miami is not good and even the best of fan teams can have empty seats when a team is 20 games under .500. And Tampa Bay isn't even in Tampa Bay, its in St Petersburg. I don't know why they don't get anybody though. I know many hate the dome, it ain't the prettiest of fields.

That's because Florida doesn't have as big as a MLB fan base unless it is during Spring Training when lots of baseball fans go down there to watch their teams practice.

Here is Boston baseball is big and we love our red sox but in florida they have more of a football and race car fan base.

Nothing wrong with that it's just that's what's more popular down there.

That's one reason, a lot of transplants from the Northeast.

Another could be Florida is SEC and/or ACC football

country.

do so poorly at the gates, even when they have good teams like Tampa has now? Is it because Florida is made up of so many transplanted Ohioans, New Yorkers etc who still follow the Reds & Indians and Yankees? Or is there some other reason. If so, I'm curious what this reason could be.
