Why do Americans love Jeff Kent so much?

Posted at: 2015-05-07
"LOVE"? Hardly!

Jeff Kent was a barely adequate defensive second baseman that hit home runs and got a lot of RBI's. Especially when he played for the Giants and batted 4th in the order and had Barry Bonds batting third. Barry of course, was always on base, so that helped a lot.

Caveat! Don't always believe web postings as they are frequently lies. Especially about baseball and/or baseball player "Quotes".

Yeah, right. This being the Interweb, you should have no problem finding those quotes and posting links to them. Evidentiary citations, sort of thing.

Do that. Or stop trolling, because trolling is obnoxious and you're not even good at it.

Kent was a good player, worthy of being on the Hall ballot. Don't expect he'll ever be inducted.

Approximately 3.4% of adult Americans identify themselves as bisexual, gay, lesbian, or transexual and, considering Kent supported Prop 8 in California back in 2008, I doubt they like him very much.

As for sports fans, his offensive numbers are tainted because he played during the steroids era. Kent was, at best, an average fielder and was not considered a good teammate or ambassador for the game. But his most momentous baseball moment came when he was quoted as saying that Vin Scully "talked too much". That turned Dodger fans and Scully fans against him so it's safe to say that most Americans don't give a rat's @ss about Jeff Kent.

I'm not even sure who Jeff Kent is so this American doesn't love him.

That's bull$h!t can you please give me proof Randy, Pedro, or Roger said a such thing.

you answered your own question.

People say that he was one of the greatest basball player in the modern baseball history.

Both Randy Johnson, Roger Clemens, and Pedro Martinez said Jeff Kent was THE most dangerous hitter that have ever faced.

Why was he so good?
