Cutting out all the cinnamon and getting straight to the answer. Kemp had played 399 straight games before hitting injury problems mid of the 2012 season. First the hamstring which was hard to shake, then the knee and shoulder which he hurt crashing into the OF wall in Colorado, Aug 2012.
The shoulder was repaired surgically with a rehab time up to January. Now since the shoulder injury he has not been the same player, losing primarily his power, while other aspects of his game suffered as well.
So even if he does "suck" as you say, there is an obvious reason.
That might be it. There's so many players making huge money who aren't performing it's crazy-- Hamilton, Pujols, Zito, J Santana, A Rod, Vernon Wells, Carl Crawford, Ryan Howard, Lincecum, Jason Bay, Josh Beckett.
It's insane. Like Kemp though, a lot of those players HAVE gotten injured, but even when they're healthy, they ain't performing. I still like Kemp's talent and he's in the prime of his career at only 28 years old.
As a Giants fan who despises the Dodgers, Matt Kemp is hurt. That's why he sucks, he is injured.
He doesn't suck man he's been injured for weeks and in turn he can't just go back and expect him to be in the best shape. I'm a LA Dodger fan I think he will get better.
I don't think it is the fact that Matt Kemp is jaking it since signing that big fat contract. I don't think he has recovered from last year's injuries fully.
Cuz' he stopped doing 'roids'.
In relation - why does Ethier suck so much? =(
"Why Matt Kemp suck so much?"
Probably same reason you grammar be ungood so bad.
Maybe he learned baseball from the same people who taught you English.
Edit - Yes, I'm a moron. However, I am a moron who knows the difference between "preform" and "perform" and that the phrase "he was a peak value" makes absolutely no sense.
Every since he signed that huge contract, he has sucked. I honestly think he has lost all his incentive to preform now that he has a new contract. I wanted the Dodgers to trade him when he was a peak value, but he has lost most of it now. The dodgers should have never given him so much money.
