I suspect environmental studies would be the most versatile degree. You could apply for jobs with the government. A lot of the jobs seem to be testing land sites for how polluted they are before building is done on them. You test the air, water and soil to see how polluted it is and what can be done to fix it. A career in this field is often hands-on–much of the job is spent collecting and testing water and soil samples. Many environmental specialists begin their careers in the field, eventually moving to work in laboratories or offices. The higher paying jobs in this field are often with the government.

I have interests in Marine Biology and Environmental studies but I am not sure which major is better. I have read that marine bio careers need a masters degree and I dont have the money for that. The college I want to go to has both of these majors as well as a BS in Coastal Environmental Studies which I think is a combination of the two. Im not sure what jobs I can get with a Bachelors in Environmental Studies. Any info would be helpful! Thank you!
