What's your top 5 voting for NL MVP?

I think it should be this:

1. Paul Goldschmidt

2. Freddie Freeman

3. Andrew McCutchen

4. Joey Votto

5. Jayson Werth

Here's my top 5 for NL MVP

1) Andrew McCutchen, Pittsburgh

He may not have eye-popping numbers, but in a year where actual hitting trumps power in the NL, he's more valuable than anybody can imagine, especially if he lead the Pirates to their first playoff apperance in 20+ years.

2) Clayton Kershaw, L.A. Dodgers

CK is a sure Cy Young winner and he's also a darkhorse candidate for MVP. He miss out on the Triple Crown (1st in K's, 1st in ERA, 3rd in Wins) but he arguably put his best season yet and when you finish your ERA under 2.00, you can be pretty sure to get some MVP votes.

3) Joey Votto, Cincinnati

The power numbers might be down, but he's only one of two players to have over 100 walks in the NL (the other is Shin-Soo Choo, his own teammate).

4) Yadier Molina, St. Louis

A lot of Cardinals players should be consider for this award (Matt Carpenter and Adam Wainwright), but Molina stands out among the best. He plays on an demanding position and plays outstanding defense. Not only that, he can show that he can still hit the ball as he gets older.

5) Paul Goldschmidt, Arizona

He has the numbers, but playoffs are important for voters than a single season achievement. 36 HR is nothing to brag about these days (heck, even Pedro Alvarez accomplish that feat with an ugly .233 batting average), but Goldy actually did it in his second full season. He has a bright future and someday will win an MVP, but it's not this year and when his team miss the playoffs after a hot start to the season.

1. Joey Votto

2. Andrew McCutcheon

3. Arnoldis Chapman

4. Clayton Kershaw

5. Adrian Gonzalez

3. Andrew McCutcheon

No Yadier Molina or Matt Carpenter? Pfft.

I think it should be this:

1. Paul Goldschmidt

2. Freddie Freeman

3. Andrew McCutchen

4. Joey Votto

5. Jayson Werth
