If you want to break the necks of Palestinian children, you should learn Krav Maga.
There are two types of Martial Arts-
Hard- Strong attacks, kicking, punching, Fighting against your opponent
Soft- Smooth motions, using your attackers force against them,
Hard Martial Arts:
Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai, Kung Fu,Shaolin, And alot more
Soft Martial Arts:
Tai chi, Aikido, Ninjitsu, and some forms of Kung fu
There are some matial arts that utilize both and use them together Like Hapkido, a korean martrial art that i'm practicing.
Really the choice is yours
Ok dude above me is dumb ok first bjj is not mma it's grappling using leverage rather than straight power designed for Lil guys versus bigger guys and yes krav is a great self defense but as far as karate no most karate is just flashy and not effective but honestly I recommend sambo it combines striking and grappling and it utilizes the principle of the greatest martial arts across the world
it depends on what sort of fighting style you're interested in. I've been practicing krav maga for a few years now, it's a very efficient self-defense technique, and for example the school I go to is attended by men and women of all different ages
