What kind of martial art is Aikikenjitsu?

Properly taught Kempo has throws and join locks in it. In fact any properly taught Kempo system will have lots of grappling type techniques. Jujutsu has strikes, and Aikido does too if you know what you are looking for in it. All of them when practiced as they should be are complete self-defense systems. Only when people learn ans see a partially taught style do they get the itch to go combining styles. It is sad because it has become most people idea of normal martial arts training. I can say from experience that styles are stand alone fighting methods (Or at least the way they are supposed to be taught they are.)

...

It would be classified as a hybrid art.

It looks like they want to mix Aikido, Jujutsu, and Kempo. So they probably want to do joint locks, throws and pressure points with karate base striking.

As Pugpaws stated Kempo is a complete system on its own with its own methods for what Aikido and jujutsu offer.

I also found some pretty lame demonstration pictures with poor form and the ever popular eye gouge.

My advice: run far away and find something not made up by a mcdojo wannabe. You would learn better techniques in a watered down cardio krav maga class. Or you could try more proven martial art system. Jujutsu and kempo are both great for that.

Actually in Japanese, it is the energy movement of the Japanese sword. Kenjitsu is a katana form of traiing however, upon looking up this style on line it was a compilation of unrelated arts by someone who claims the title of being a Chinese master.....

Very odd.

I think I would avoid this school. It sends up too many flags.

A style with a Japanese name created by someone with a Chinese title. I found very little info about the creator of the style.

As for what its classified Im not sure
