What is the main objective of Muay Thai?

Like when they are versing each other, is the objective the same as boxing? Or is there another way of winning?

Knock the other guy out, get a TKO, or impress the judges enough to get a decision.

Judging in Muay Thai is based partly on "clean form". It's also based partly on what affect a maneuver had on the opponent. A strong kick that lands but doesn't move the opponent or cause them to flinch will be valued lower than a kick that is blocked, but knocks the opponent off-balance. Throws and sweeps from the clinch or off of a kick catch tend to be given a lot of weight.

In ways of winning it is pretty much the same as boxing. But there are several differences, in muay thai you can use kicks, knees and elbows in addition to boxing.

Muay thai is very much an art of attrition.

You have to pick your style or not.
