I typically use ash (Louisville Slugger or Adirondack) but in composites
the M9 is pretty good, albeit heavier than I expected for such materials.
Ash is considered the best wood bat.

Here's the story on composite bats ...

The Demarini ones are really nice and I use them on my legion team. I have to say I prefer 100% maple but composites are much harder to break.
Ash
Bamboo of course.
I am playing in an adult baseball league and the league requires wood or wood composite bats. I want to buy a wood composite so it lasts longer and doesn't break as easily. Thanks.
