I actually have at times wondered the same thing. Their pitching has been good enough to win most of the time but they sometimes goes days with no offense. They have had some injuries as well with Konerko and Beckham both missing time as well as Peavy.
One thing that has been dreadful this year has been their defense - they are making errors at a very high rate and it's hard to win games when you give major league teams 4 or 5 outs in an inning.
Inconsistent offense.. Injuries. Konerko has been hurt for part of the season so that has taken a chunk off the offense.
No reason to complain. They beat the Tigers on Thursday.
