What are some basic Parkour moves?

Kong vault, normal vault, just practice your most basic jumps and vaults to strengthen your body before you get into advanced stuff. Ive been freerunning for a few years. You must also develop impressive amounts of lower and uperbody strength as well as agility and cardio stamina. So work out daily. Honestly get to the point of where doing 50 pushups, 120 lunges, and 40 pullups are absolutely no problem and you are good to go. Afterwards I would recommend scouting your local parks and lots for good spots to workout your pk vision. Just star out with more exercises then anything after that your parkour training will be a piece of delicious cake. Just will have to get over the fear lol. I hated the fear.

@puggpaw: Parkour is a martial art and was developed by the french. It is commonly called the art of running away. Nowa days it is a sport, but originally it had blocks and strikes.

I don't know anything about parkous. Looks cool as hell but if I were you I would try and find the local parkour crowd if I were you.

Parkour is one of those things that you can teach yourself to a certain level. You can do the basics alone. But after that you need help. It's a very dangerous sport and it's stupid to try alone.

Calm down, do push ups and pull ups then you'll be able to climb it. You can't just climb in a day without training.

Parkour has nothing to do with martial arts. And this is the martial arts section. Perhaps you would get better answers asking in a different section.

...

No, try a kong.

I've recently begun experimenting with Parkour, and I wanted to know some of the basic moves. I want to set some clear goals for myself for the next six months. Here are the ones I know of so far, and have tried:

Precision jump

Dash vault

Reverse vault

Lazy/thief vault

Basic roll

Tic tac

Cat balance

Wall run

Cat leap

Hand spring

What would be a good direction to head in next? What are some realistic goals to set for myself?

Thanks!
