What Martial Art is best for me?

If you got bored in Kickboxing and Boxing then I would assure you you will get bored in Muay Thai either way. I don't care if you say "No, it's brutal, I love it". It would be the same anyways. The style doesn't matter no matter how brutal it is, you would only be the same person if you take Muay Thai anyways.

There is no best martial arts and there is no martial art that is best for you. All that matters is that you have a good instructor and train right. Pick the school with a good instructor and you'll be all set.

Your age, weight, and other statistics do not matter as martial arts are meant to adapt to your body type. Also, how deadly a style is does not matter. Styles should be judged by effectiveness, not brutality.

By what you've written, you seem to want to study a martial art with a focus on physical fitness. However, that's not necessarily what's best for you. You are already a large guy who plays rugby. That in itself makes for an excellent workout. Perhaps you should consider a softer style, to help balance you out? That's up to you to decide. What's best is to go and have classes in a wide variety of styles. You might be surprised at what you find you actually like. Most schools offer free trial classes, so you can go and check out as many of them as you want. Please refer to the following article to help you make a good decision on this front:

there is no best style for a person. bruce lee didnt start wing chun because it was best for him. just start any martial art that you enjoy. as for losing weight i would recommend kickboxing since they focus more on losing weight than being able to kick or punch.

Just make the best of whats available to you. Check out the schools in your area and decide for yourself.

hello im 23 years old and i am a black belt 1st degree in da teakondo i recomend teakondo because it is a great self defense like yesterday i beat up a black guy that tried to mug me!

Krav maga

I'm a 6ft 17 year old male, weighing around 110 Kgs. I play alot of rugby (manly version of American Football) and have powerful legs and decent upper body strength however i'm looking for a Martial Art that will help me loose a lot of weight, build stamina and pain endurance, teach me to be relatively deadly and also decent for multiple opponents and maybe help me gain abit of muscle.

I was thinking about Muay Thai as it seems very appealing, and brutal which i love. I've got a few years in Boxing and Kick Boxing experience but I thought both were not what i was looking for. Both great for cardio but to be honest i got bored. However i'm looking to start boxing again as well as another.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance!
