yes he is. he was born in Tehran, Iran. He made a name for himself as an amateur wrestler as well as a bodyguard to the King of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi for several years. when he was 30 he was recruited to become a professional wrestler and moved to America. he currently resides in Georgia.
