Was Brock Lesnar for CM Punk a fair trade?

No for multiple reasons.

Brock Lesnar made the UFC a lot more money than Brock Lesnar makes the WWE. The UFC Heavyweight division is hurting right now with Cain being injured so often. It's very stale and stagnant. It needs bigger stars. CM Punk won't be fighting heavyweight and most likely won't be as big of a longterm draw long Brock Lesnar was because Brock Lesnar sold tickets because he played the heel very well. CM Punk is being real in his UFC Career, he is no longer the heel, he isn't confident enough in his new career choice to be cocky and arrogant and make tons of people interested. They just want to see if he will win or lose, but don't really care much either way. The UFC Made millions off of Brock because so many people wanted to see him lose.

It's not a very good trade now for the WWE because Brock has cost the WWE millions of dollars with his recent antics. So all in all, the trade sucked for both parties, but the UFC still ended up with the better end of the stick because they've still got CM Punk for a little while and they had Brock Lesnar at one point in time. The WWE doesn't have CM Punk, will never again have CM Punk, and BARELY has Lesnar right now.

Not really for either side. Brock is part-time and Punk is an unproven. more than likely very bad fighter. It'll be hard for him to keep drawing with poor performances.

Brock is too old to trade with "punks".
