Want to be mma fighter? looking for advice?

first step is really get in a gym. Start with a base style and then add on to it. If you're a stocky stronger guy, then start with a ground game like BJJ or Judo. If you're a lanky quicker guy, then start with a stand up game like K-1 or Muay Thai. For success in the cage, those are the best 4 styles to have under your belt or a 1 and 1 combo or something. I recommend the latter choice since training 4 styles in such a constricted time frame won't be beneficial. In terms of getting into a gym, look for gyms with like a 2-4 week free trial so you can get a feel for them first. See if you think they're right for you or not or if MMA is even right for you or not. I can't count how many people we've had train at my gym for a few weeks and then just quit because it's too hard.

There are only two ways to get money either you work for it or you steal it and then continue your MMA career in prison.

Why do you think people should give you money just because you want it?

Congratulations for getting over the hurdle of making excuses. Now get over the hurdle to expect something for nothing and you will be on your way.

Find odd jobs, mowing lawns, cleaning houses, barns, yards, sheds, babysitting, petsitting, dog walking, you name it. If your gym is $50 a month and you get $7 an hour you can do it by working 2 hours a week and if you get paid more than that it will even take you less. Don't tell me you can't do that. If this really means something to you, you will do it and it can be done. I did it.

How can I get money without having a job? Good thing intelligence is not necessary to become an mma fighter. Also, stop wasting time on Yahoo Answers and go do some push-ups or something.

For starters you are making excuses in life already. I have known many graduates and college students who worked odd hours and low paying jobs just to get by on. You need to work to eat right?

Second stop talking abt it and find a way to do it. Even if it takes 5 years to meet your goal in life.

move to Brazil, make a living as an English teacher. Gyms are very cheap here.

No more excuses!

Get a job. It is that simple.

I would appreciate it if people responded with advice on how I should start andwould appreciate it.

I wanted to become an mma fighter but never followed through because of the excuses in my head (too much money, etc.)

Well I dont want to make anymore excuses. So here I am.

The gym is expensive. So how can I get money without having a job? I am hoping to go to physical therapy school and heard I cannot work a job while going to graduate school. I also heard that I can get sponsors for anything even if I have no fights under my belt but I have no marketing skills. (I am 0-0 as an amateur).

I am willing to work hard and get off my butt to get this!!! NO MORE EXCUSES BABY!!!!
