Tim Lincecum no hit's the Padres: Your thoughts?

I loved it, but I wonder if this was his last hurrah. Juan Marichal always used to say it takes three pitches to get a strikeout, but only one for a ground ball. Juan would have won more than 300 games if not for that penicillin reaction that almost killed him. At this point I'm afraid Tim will never become a ground ball pitcher, and his effectiveness will continue to diminish.

Edit: I've been watching the replay on CSNBA, and I hadn't realized how many off-speed pitches he used. He wasn't just trying to blow everything by the batter. And his 29 pitches where the batter swung and missed was impressive. So some of my earlier statements may have been off a bit.

He looked quite sharp in his last start, looked really good today. I was getting worried about the pitch count there, luckily the offense managed to provide a lot of run support so he was able to stay in.

On a side note, really glad Posey caught him. In my humble opinion a lot of the issues Tim Lincecum has had over the past year and a half stem from him using Hector Sanchez as his personal catcher.

The Padres are awful and Lincecum was on his game. Recipe for a no-hitter.

Good thing he gets over week off after throwing that many pitches. Had the All-Star Break not been next week, he wouldn't have lasted all 9 innings. But he pitched probably the best game he'll ever pitch in his career. Congrats to him

congrats on a job well done by him.
