Thoughts on the Miz?

I gave an answer last night bashing the Miz and apparently people disagree.

He is sub par in the ring. His mic skills only go so far. All he does is say he's awesome and then berates the audience and other Superstars because he's "better" and "more successful." His act is tired and he doesn't have any depth as a character.

If it wasn't for him being in movies and minor TV roles, as well as being able to give a good interview on talk shows to promote WWE, right now he would either 1) not be in WWE or 2) be a borderline jobber at best.

The WWE wants another Rock. Someone who can cross over to Hollywood. That's what they are trying to sell to everyone. That the Miz is an actual Hollywood celebrity so it gives him more credibility. In reality, he is just a pretty face with average at best acting ability. That's why he's never been in a movie that's not made for TV or straight-to-DVD. Never had a significant role on TV outside of his asinine reality show appearances a decade ago.

It's only a matter of time when he makes a legit run for a championship again. His movie, Marine 4, is being released later this month on DVD. I can only imagine how they are going to try to use that as a means to push him.

He's an average Superstar at best. But yeah, he has "starpower" (whatever that is). His sole purpose should be to put over young guys. He's not on the same level as other midcarders- Ryback, Ambrose, Bryan, Ziggler, Barrett, hell even Luke Harper.

SO, what makes Miz so special?

The Miz is World Wrestling Entertainment's Gofer, he's decent in the ring and solid on the microphone. He can work anywhere and do pretty much anything WWE wants him to do.

The Miz is highly underrated as a talent compared to when WWE gave him the belt for Wrestlemania 27

I don't know how anyone can call The Miz 'Subpar' inside the ring.

This could be said about Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson as well he did the exact same thing, but The Rock is 'The Great One'; Dear God 'What?'.

Oh please, it's all a part of miz's heel character and if he is getting under your skin it is working.

Wwe isn't pushing him straight to the top and he is in the mid-card, but he gets a good reaction, is good for interviews, and is a good representative for the wwe, you make that out as being a bad thing.

No one seriously thinks Miz is going to be the Hollywood star that rock is, but he portrays his character that way and portrays himself that way and one of the most important things about Miz is he puts other talent over, he has done wonders for mizdow' career and getting Mizdow over as a face the people can get behind, he tried to do the same with Alex Riley.

Miz is an amazing talent, and one of the few good guys in wrestling, even though his character is a total asshole, but that is what he is suppose to play to get faces cheered more and to get the people to boo him. Miz saying he is an "A lister" even though he is in straight to DVDs movies is supposed to piss you off. Miz making a fool out of himself by doing the Viagra commercial is suppose to get damion sandow over as a face.

He is a very good wrestler and very good on the microphone. He is a great heel and very good at getting the crowd to hate him. He "berates the audience and other superstars" because that is what he is supposed to do as a heel. It gets under your skin because it is supposed to do that, and he plays his heel character very well. I like the Miz. Honestly I used to hate him, until I realized how good he really is at playing his character.

The sandow thing destroyed his stature. now hes putting over sandow. but its a gimmick so maybe wwe can fix it.

He's boring
