I won't bother to view the link you provided since the guy obviously has never met anyone that knows eskrima and does it correctly.
Oh, and just so you know I'm not a practitioner of eskrima, but I have witnessed it effectiveness in person.
...
All of your posts denigrate what you claim you are, an eskrimador. This guy says it doesn't work, that guy says it doesn't work, yet you persist in expressing an interest in something that you are stating, basically sucks.
He said, she said...have you actually tried anything to make your own decision? The answer is no, because you do not know how to do one move, with or without a weapon. You are as beginner as it gets, your questions clearly detail that. Your mind is made up on this subject, you are wasting your time, I won't say money because your questions could be asked in class and you'd be given enough of an example to see the claim of not working is based on the person, basically saying, I am not good enough to make this work, it does not work. If one wants to say, ok, I see how that move transitions, I disagree with the efficiency, it is too complicated or too dependent on perfect circumstances to work, that might have some relevance.
I'd suggest you move on to becoming a BJJ fanboy like the rest of the MMA guys, then you too will be able to claim the effectiveness of it based on the success someone on tv had with it, rather than the success you had with it. That is full circle, you can say Eskrima sucks cause someone else said so, and BJJ is the best, cause someone else said so.
I'm not following the link, and I don't care about what that guy says. He is wrong and doesn't have a clue as to what he is talking about. Eskrima is effective.
does he still think the world is flat as well.
some people just talk out of the wrong end, and are clueless
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I personally disagree with him.
That's his problem
