Should I Box or train MMA?

From your question it is quite evident that you started with MMA and then switched to boxing. But now you are feeling that boxing is not the thing for you. So you want to come back to MMA again. In that case, it should be the most appropriate decision. This time you make sure that you are taking training properly.

In most cases, mma gyms incorporate boxing along with bjj and Muay Thai. Sometimes wrestling.

boxing is part of mma

do some research and repost what your asking

I don't know what kind of answer you are looking for. I'm just going to say do what you're happy with.

Here's my situation.

I've been boxing for about 4 or 5 months now at my local gym. They also have kick boxing, Kajukenbo, Jiu Jitsu, Karate, and Wrestling. Separate instructors of course. Most of the instructors currently compete in MMA as well as clients that train there. I've trained in other arts besides boxing. I've done a little MMA before switching to boxing and I wasn't too bad. My weakness is kick boxing. I hate getting kicked and can't throw kicks that hard. So when I switched to boxing I was relieved. But now I feel like I'm not getting a complete system of self defense. Should I continue boxing or switch back over to MMA?
