Should Graig Nettles be in the Hall of Fame?

Third basemen are underrepresented in the HOF, and Nettles actually ranks rather highly (like 95% of Brooks Robinson).

EDIT: Ray Schalk didn't hit 390 home runs. Nettles isn't much worse than Brooks Robinson.

No. His career .750 OPS out of the third base position says enough for his case for being a Hall of Famer. He was an excellent defensive player for sure, which actually puts his value right at the average for a Hall of Fame third baseman, but in all honesty offense trumps defense at third base. Never finished higher than 5th in the MVP award. He was a really good player, but he's not Hall of Fame material, and clearly the voters agreed.

Ray Schalk, a defensive specialist at catcher, has a .253 career batting average. That's the lowest of all HOF position players. If so many people think he doesn't belong, they won't think Nettles does either, considering his career batting average. I was astonished he lasted four years on the ballot.

Nettles is probably the best defensive 3B player to ever play.

It's not the hall of better than a average.

I think so based on his extraordinary defenseive abilities

...another joke question. Theres allot of them on here lately.

Long question, short answer. Not a chance.

No, definitely not, good player but not great.

is greg nedeles a soccer

I know he had a low career batting average, but his 390 HR's puts him at 5th all-time on the 3B list.
