Self defense sports?

What is the best self defense sports for some one who have bad teeth and bad knee ?

Not real sure how your bad teeth are going to affect your athletic ability. Aside from the cosmetic factor (so don't smile and keep your mouth closed), as far as I know bad teeth only contribute to loss of teeth, heart disease and stomach problems down the road. So I think you would be good there as far as martial arts goes.

The knee is a different problem and that you should have evaluated by your doctor. None of us on here are doctors so our medical advice, if any is given is unreliable at best. So start with a trip to the doctor. Then decide what you want to train which will be limited to what is available to you and how good the teacher in that style is. A style does not guarantee good training but a good teacher does.

Self defense is not sport and the training is completely different. You might want to check that out too and get it straight before deciding on a school. All traditional martial arts styles can be taught for self defense or sport but the training is very different as the motives for each are different. Scoring vs eliminating a threat as quickly as possible. Then there are styles that teach only a few self defense techniques and then there are styles that are a sport.

sports can be used for self defense but that is not the purpose behind them. most dont focus on self defense training, they focus on the sport aspect of it.

Martial arts are more designed for self defense, There is a lot more to self defense then just fighting that martial sports just dont cover.

There is no best style.

They will all work as long as you train right and have a good instructor.

Your size, body type and sex have nothing to do with the style you want to choose. People that think that your size and body type determine the style know little to nothing about martial arts

Most people will tell you there style is the best or they heard such and such is a great style,

The style is not important, what matters is how good your instructor is and how you train. The style is secondary, they all have there pro's and con's there are no superior styles.

If you have an instructor that can’t teach you how to fight, regardless of the style, what good would it do you?

Choose a school with a good instructor in the end that’s all that matters, that and how you train.

Its the person that has the ability to fight not the style

Boxing

intimidation

shave your head (if not already)

get a nose ring

and a tattoo of some cult on your shoulder

good luck!
