Rubbing something on body to make opponents sick?

I don't know how they could apply something to their own skin that wouldn't effect them as well. This would be a form of cheating I've never heard of before.

ANY chemical that they rub on themselves that will affect an opponent is going to be by soaking into the skin, This means that it would also be soaking through a uniform and into the skin of himself as well. The amount need to rub onto your own skin to make the other person sick is ridiculous and therefore not possible because it could kill yourself.

There are MANY chemicals capable of doing this but none that would only affect your opponent and not yourself.

I have never heard of this, but I have heard of spiking food/water (as in, water bottles) with Syrup of Ipecac, which, when ingested makes you throw up immediately. It was once used in first aid for accidental poisoning. But for this to work, the opposing team would have to have access to the water bottles. And getting access to ipecac is difficult, because it is no longer recommended for poisoning cases, and drug stores no longer carry it. (Of course, they don't carry certain other drugs too, and look how easy it is to get them...)

But this is a huge risk and easily discovered, I doubt wrestling cheaters would resort to this. If caught, they face federal food tampering laws and a litany of other legal battles.

Is it possible that the team ate bad food before the match?

Turpentine oil is often used as a topical muscle relaxer which, when used in large quantities, can cause vomiting. This would have an odor that would be appropriate for the sport - not unlike Ben Gay or Icy Hot. This could be applied to their wrestling uniforms, which, when touched by the opposing wrestler, it could be passed that way.

There is camphor in this as well, and excessive camphor can also cause vomiting. Camphor, by the way, is found in Icy Hot, Tiger Balm, and Ben Gay - and these as you probably know are commonly used by wrestlers.

Maybe they're using a lot of Tiger Balm? (Which means, maybe they're used to it and not affected by it?)

EDIT: Riki3, you just made me re-categorize my copy of Silence of the Lambs to "comedy".

Could be and of the nbomes or 2 cx's could be herb could be something they have made themself immune to. They could of just spiked your water or whatever. If you suspect foul play tell someone its there respnabilty to find out what by all sorts of invasive tests. Shaeek there are fast acting chemicals that in small does cause vomiting and mild hallucinations to the unwary the are super unstable compound and dissolve instanly into skin they are active at doses of 100ug if foul play in anyway is suspected it falls on the comp the spiker and the person who gog spiked to find out what's up.

In the case you are not trolling, you need to know that this is an offense punishable by law.

In fact, I believe it is a federal crime.

Well, if possum is correct, there is only one way to find out, steal one of their uniforms and hand it to someone not on your wrestling team and let them take a whiff and see if they keel over. Then you would have proof.

I very much doubt that would be true. If that was the case then why didn't their own guys get sick? If this is true then it's also true that you can't smell your own poop.

It puts the lotion on....

At a wrestling competition currently underway, guys keep getting sick after wrestling this one particular team who is known to cheat. Another coach proposed this idea that they may be rubbing something on themselves to do this. The guys it's happened to have thrown up and felt more fatigued than normal while competing.

Does anyone know if there's any chemical or drug or whatever that you can rub on yourself to cause this?

I know it sounds crazy but knowing this team is wouldn't surprise me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
