Martial Arts for overweight people?

Yes, heavier people than you have succeeded at martial arts. It'll be tough at first, but it's tough for everyone no matter what their weight. Don't let your weight be mental road block if you decide to join a school. You're going to confuse your left from your right, amongst other things, and there's going to be a lot of awkwardness. You can't let any of that get in your way of succeeding.

If you do start, make a personal commitment to stick with it for at least 6 months. Go to class at least twice a week, no excuses. Just listen, do what you're told, and be as mentally tough as you can be. Everything else will just happen and you'll be shocked at how much improvement you see in yourself within 3-6 months.

There's no art that works better if you are overweight. You should be able to adapt it to your body type. Pick any style you want, they are all good. Martial arts can also help you get in shape.

Martial arts can be a great way to get in shape if you're dedicated

Either bite the bullet and jump on the conditioning train, or consider a style like Tai Chi.

All of them. Maybe consider doing Cardio exercises?

Martila arts are for all, so you can do it....It will help you to get in better shape as well. You are not that overweight...:)

Any

I'm about 5'7'' and 190 lbs. I wanted to know what a good martial art would be good for someone like me. Barely any of my mass is muscle and I don't do a lot of training. I'm not looking to be outstandingly good but just something to help me get in shape.
