Is it really all that surprising that when you get two high-level, basically undefeated fighters facing off, that they neutralize one another? Is it surprising that professional athletes at the top of the sport fight more with their head than with their emotions?
I *loved* that fight. I loved the clinch-fighting, the fact that we saw Jones get pushed, the fact that we saw an Olympic wrestler taken down (several times!) for the first time in his MMA career, that we saw creative striking, as always, from Jones...
If you were expecting an emotional brawl, you don't know very much about MMA at its highest level.
Jones did not put on a Showtime, kill that man kind of performance if that's what you were hoping for, and Cormier slowed down in the fourth. Never believe the hype...that was your first mistake. I was not disappointed in that I'm a big fan of MMA, and no matter how it goes down it's fascinating to me.

Cormier hadda chance to win but he didn't implement a good game plan he fought the wronge fight
na that was a great fight
They said they were going to kill each other but IMO it was the worst performance of both of their careers.. But Jones did deserve to win
