Jonathan Dwyer or Shane Vereen week 1?

Ellington is only possibly out. Starting Dwyer is arguably riskier than playing Ellington. The NE coaches love Vereen and he'll see several looks on every drive. Start Vereen and be happy you have such a good backup option.

I watched Dwyer get a good amount of touches in Pittsburgh a while ago..

He was even on 1 of my fantasy teams back then.

The dude SUX,& unless you are in a 16 team league he is waiver wire trash.

Belichick is really unpredictable when rotating running backs, but Tom Brady has another solid target when Vereen is on the field. Vereen does most of his damage as a receiver. Vereen is your best bet by a longshot.

Vereen for sure. Brady loves him and he's going to be a big part of the offense.

Now that Ellington is possibly out, does that make Dwyer worth the start (if Ellington doesn't play) over Shane Vereen? The Patriots are so unclear about their running backs that I don't know if I can trust Vereen. Opinions?
