Is Mike Trout in a long slump?

What? WHAT!?!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??

In the month of august, Trout is batting .343, is slugging .643, has an OBP of .511 with 6 HRs and 15 RBIs. In the 2nd half, Trout is hitting .359, slugging .607, and has an On Base Percentage of .507 (HE'S GETTING ON BASE ONCE EVERY TWO ATBATS!!!) with 8 HRs and 22 RBIS.

For the season, Trout is batting .331, slugging .575, has an OBP of .427, and all those numbers are better than last season. According to baseball-reference, he leads ALL MLB players in Wins ABove Replace at 7.7.

If you think that he is in a slump because he's not on ESPN every 6 minutes, you're wrong; It's because the Angels stink this year because owner Arte Moreno is an idiot and overpaid for Albert Pujols and Josh Hamilton rather than improve their Starting Pitching. And Trout won't win the AL MVP because Miguel Cabrera is putting up video game numbers this year and could win back to back Triple Crowns.

He's batting .331, has 23 home runs and has 81 RBIs. It's not as good as last year but I'd hardly consider it a slump. Looking at his stats for the last few games, he isn't getting as many hits as one might expect him to, though.

Trout's August wOBA is .488, which is a higher mark than any other month this year.

His plate production this year (.427) is actually better than last year (though his defense and baserunning numbers are down, slightly).

Yeah, he's only 2nd in the AL in batting average, they should go ahead and trade him to the Rangers for David Murphy.

He's better than last year.

He went fishing.

If you think that, you don't know baseball.
