for best hitter, yes, he's the best. But for the best overall player in baseball right now, Mike Trout's the best
Cabrera hits for a higher average and hits for good power in a not-so-hitter friendly park at Comerica. If he were playing at a different park I bet he could challenge the home run record with his power. He is hitting .365, the next best in the bigs is Chris Johnson at .336. He also has hit 110 RBIs and has missed some games.
Not to mention he has been doing this for a long time now, Chris Davis came out last year and so did Trout (cause he was a rookie), but there is longevity there. People pitch around Cabrera to get to FIELDER, that is how insane of a hitter he is.
Using weighted overall batting average (wOBA), you get a pretty clear indication:
Cabrera: .479
Davis: 436
Trout .424
Cabrera has a higher AVG, OBP and SLG than either Trout or Davis. In terms of being a "hitter," Cabrera is clearly the best in the game.
Whoever said trout might win mvp I will give you a lesson mvp-most valuable player he can't be that valuable player if his team is under .500 if was carrying the angels and they were winning maybe consider it but no. Davis won't break the single season record for homers not possible he has been slumping lately heck Cabrera will win back to back mvps and triple crowns and right now he is one of the best hitters in the game ever. He will hit over 600 in his career and be the in history.
i'm an orioles fan and miguel cabrera is the best hitter in baseball. Davis will lead the league in homers and possibly rbi, but trout may be in the lead for mvp lol. 3 great ball players haha
Cabrera is the best hitter in baseball, as measured by AVG, OBP, SLG, (and therefore, OPS), wOBA, wRC+.
Trout is slightly behind Cabrera in batting, but has noticeably better defense and baserunning.
Davis is behind Cabrera in batting, though Davis has six more homers, and one more RBI.
Davis and Trout are different types - Davis is hitting for more power, Trout is getting on more often.
according to WAR, he's not. Trout is. Which is all you need to know about that retarded stat.
Yes Cabrera is the best hitter in the game and it's not even close. He's also the best player in the game.
Yes, he uses the entire ballpark and puts up monster power numbers in a PITCHER friendly ballpark. He has been injured as of the All Star break with a nagging back injury, a sore hip flexor, and an abdominal strain yet he's still on a hot streak. Miggy is consistent every year and doesn't fade towards the second half of the year.
Yes
Yes. No one else even comes close.
Because im a Detroiter and a huge Detroit sports fan and I keep Hearing Crush Davis and Mike Trout
Yes, that is not even debatable.
I would say he is.
