2004 ALCS... blown save against the Red Sox
Tonight's game....blown save against the Red Sox again
Well, I'll probably get a ton of thumbs downs for this, but here is a secret: Mariano Rivera has been an average closer this season.
Go on, take a look at his stats. Other than saves, is he in the top 10 in any of them?
He blew one against the tigers a month or so ago. Gave up a home run to Miguel Cabrera.
He's 44 and coming off a serious injury.
I guess everybody is perfect and the great Mariano isn't allowed to blow a save, is that what I'm gathering?
3 blown saves in 12 years yea he's overrated
He's 40 years old and still better than most every other closer in the game. I would still put my money on him.
Even though I like Mo I would rather put my money Kenley Jansen from the LA Dodgers
hes old and on his way out. I dont think he has the fire anymore and thats why he keeps blowing save opportunites.
definitely overrated i mean nobody would blow three or more saves in 12 years. absolutely nobody!
you'll have to pay admission to get into the Hall of Fame to see his plaque.
Nah his time is just starting to come
2001 World Series... Blown save against the Diamondbacks
2004 ALCS... blown save against the Red Sox

Look at the manager and ask how he's using him. That's where you will find your answer.
He's old but not overrated.
