In boxing does your body get use to bruises?

Since you start a sport and you have one on one contact getting hit hard in the face or the body does body eventually heal faster everything with training? I would like to know?

No, you just get used to it. And in all honesty the brutality of boxing is greatly overexaggerated. I did boxing for 4 years, went 14 fights and I'm fine. I mean it probably is one of the hardest sports out there. But it's not what people think. You won't break your nose, someone will not punch your teeth out and you won't suffer brain damage. Not at your level. So don't worry about it.

For many fighters it does and I almost never had a mouse or black eye or facial bruise from training or after a fight. That was kickboxing where the gloves were smooth for the most part and of course there were not knees or elbows either. While its probably a little less so for MMA fighters their bodies are conditioned and running at a pretty high level of efficiency. So even they when you see one after a fight who has their face messed up pretty good will heal a little faster and better than the average person I think.

If your body is not then that's a good sign of some vitamin deficiency and you might want to consider adding more vegetables, and protein, along with calcium to your diet as well as making sure you are drinking enough water. To this day I drink a gallon of milk in five days on a weekly basis and if I don't I know I get more in the way of bruises and sore spots from sparring and contact.

You become less disoriented to some degree, all hits being equal.

Your brain OTOH, is still vulnerable. If you ever plan on earning your living by doing something that requires it to be able to think clearly and function properly, consider a different sport.

Seriously, even MMA would be a better choice. More superficial damage due to less padding in the gloves, but nobody drives a full-powered punch to the skull because of that, lest they shatter their hand. As a result, no deep brain injuries or fatalities therein, as there have been in conventional boxing. Boxing needs to get rid of the gloves!

No. You may learn to tolerate pain more to some degree, and as you strengthen a lot of stability muscles and mental reflexes, you probably won't be taking the full blunt of attacks like a beginner might. But all in all, the level of bone conditioning is minimal and the strengthening of muscles won't really make much difference in how your body receives contusions.

You won't heal faster, you just get used to the hits.

No. Unless you train for like 8 years or something.

not really but you get conditioned to taking a hit a bit more than your average joe.
