Yes, it's predetermined, but most of the time the wrestlers improvise the match.
they have certain techniques to make the moves seem more painful as they actually are. For example, when performing a headbutt, performer normally grabs the reciever's hair, for two reasons: 1.) reciever can't pull back, at least it seems to the viewer, and 2.) the performer's outstretched arm is actually a measurement tool, so he won't really hurt himself or the receiver. Receiver then goes on to "sell" it.
I like to compare Wrestling to a more athletic version of magic. It's all illusion, but they are convincing. It's its own art form.
Though that doesn't mean that some of them can't actually hurt. The mat in a wrestling ring is normally composed of wooden planks with a thin layer of foam material on it. Taking a bump hurts if you're not used to it.
It is true they know who is the winner before the match starts. It is also true that they do hit each other a certain way. All they do when punching is like stomp the ground and graze the face. Its all about control. When it comes to injuries they usually are not planned when you are in the middle of a match or something like that. But under the conditions of a storyline like Randy Orton and Seth Rollins feud that injure was planned. Hope this answers your question.
well i do know a lot of the time thy do get hurt 60 or 70 % of the time they often do makes mistakes and thy talk to each other when thy are fighting and ask if there ready if thy are going to do some big move on them like if it off the ropes some time u can hear then talking i hear the bell say to the other ready right before she suplex her off the top rope i wish it was 100% real because when u can see them obviously faking it just ruins it for me thy should work on making it look more real and i hate when the camra man make the camra zoon in and over and over then he to up close so we not see thy not always fitting each other
It's comparable to stunt work. They are trying to maximize the reality of it without causing great pain or injury to one another. With that being said, there is still room for something to go wrong and pain or injury to occur, just like on a set of a movie.
IT IS OBVIOUS YOU HAVE NOT BEEN IN THE RING, THEY ARE TRAINED TO DO IT WITH THE LEAST AMOUNT OF INJURY BUT THINKING THEY ARE REALLY HITTING EACH OTHER IS A HUGE MISTAKE. THE MAT IS NOT SOFT THE ROPES ARE NOT THAT GIVING, AND THEY USE REAL TABLES, LADDERS AND CHAIRS THAT YOU BUY AT HOME DEPOT.
i mean there i guess (playing) but still kinda beating the sh!t out of each other its not a real fight and its staged who will win overall its fake as hell
