If after 9 complete innings the game is tied then extra innings will be needed to be played in order to determine a winner. Time wise expect a regulation, nine inning game to last around 3 hours. However, depending on many varying factors, such as who is pitching, how many hits and runs there are, how many walks and pitching changes occur, it can result in a game lasting 2.25 hours to perhaps even 4 hours.
