1.Walk up to your coach and say "Coach, what do I need to do to move up to varsity?"
2. Do whatever he tells you to do.
Now, doesn't that make a helluva lot more sense than asking a bunch of total strangers?
Show it on the field. Be a baseball rat. Volunteer for extra work/practice. On the field first, off last. Be a good teammate and lead by example. Basically, you have to outwork your competition but dont be an *** about it. Getting to know your teammates, coaches helps.
I think youre right but you cant do anything.... Perform at the highest level that you possibly can. Everytime you take a step on the field make it count and be noticed. If it gets to the point where theres definitely favoritism going on then maybe talk to an administrator
Work hard and show what you got
I am a sophomore that plays baseball and I moved to a different state. I tried out for a high school team and I was cast out to JV. I played Varsity since 9th grade and have competed with people I knew that got drafted to the MLB. Also my new coach said he already has two shortstops and that I don't need to be sitting. How do I work my way back up? I believe I am entitled to a fair opportunity to compete for my position.
