Then there is the fact that fighters and fighting styles have really developed a lot in the last five years.
Rousey not only has a great ground game and submission record, she is also now an accomplished striker with hand and kicking techniques, is in incredible condition and does not seem to have a reverse gear....
Yes, Carano is attractive (hence being in the movies..) but Rousey is also very attractive (hence being in the movies) however, MMA is not a beauty contest.
Rousey, like is so many of her other fights, will end it in a minute or so and then probably retire because there will not be anyone left to fight....

Rousey would destroy Carano. Carano is over-rated and has not fought in 5 years. Rousey is a beast and will crush Carano. The fight will NEVER happen as Gina knows she is no chance of winning.
Don't kid yourself; look at some of Rousey's earlier fights and compare them to her more recent ones. You will see that her stand-up skills have vastly improved to the point where she can hold her own now with any female fighter in stand-up fighting. While I agree and like Carano's attitude much better and she has really good skills they are not enough to overcome that of Rousey's. Any fight between the two of them would be over in less than two minutes with Rousey the winner which is why a match-up between the two is laughable really.
As a fighter, it sure looks like Ronda Rousey has the advantage. Gina may have a slight edge on the feet with her boxing (as you mentioned), but one Ronda gets a hold of her, Gina is going for a ride off one of her hips and ending up on the ground. Ronda has a huge advantage on the ground because of her background in Judo. Ronda also has one of the best arm bars in all of MMA http://bleacherreport.com/articles/18986...
