Few questions about samurai pants?

LOL. See, you signed up for Kendo and now you get to wear a skirt ;-). Moreover you will have to learn to walk again too without tripping over your hakama.

Hem the pants at ankle length. Hakama that are too long will get your feet caught and trip you up which will end you on your butt.

Don't worry about the air resistance when kicking, you will not be doing a lot of kicks.

Have fun.

I’m not a kendoka, and I’m just a stand in until an actual kendoka gets here to answer your question. I believe the hakama is supposed to be at ankle height. So just enough to expose your feet. Secondly, the hakama wasn’t made for kicking. There are very little kicking in kenjutsu if any.

That should be taught by your instructor.

"Samurai pants"???

ROTFLMAO!!!

You bes' go get you some SAMURAI PANTS if you want to be a samurai!

Hysterical.

going to kedo class soon, just got my uniform shipped to my place, how long exactly are you suppose to have the pants hanging? the bottom of mine is kindda just dragging on the floor if i tie it around my weist, and what's with the huge air resistance, i tried throwing a few kicks, just the air resistance nearly throw me off balance
