Elephant fighing style?

I'm not sure where this comes from, maybe bokator or muay thai? More info would be appreciated!

there are muay thai/bokator techniques who mention elephant, crocodile and other mythologic beings, but it's just a poetic way to give a name to a technique, similar to kung fu and tai thi stances involving dragons, cranes etc. so it's not a style, just a name. another answer could be the fighting style used by jaturonkrabat, mentioned in the movie Tom Yam Kung starring Tony Jaa, the muay boran icon of a few years ago. jaturonkrabat were infantry soldiers whose task was to protect cavalry i.e. elephants, especially their legs. they just fought like everybody else, didn't have their own style, as claimed in the movie.

I've never heard of it to be honest and I've been reading up on martial arts for years. I could be mistaken because there are people thousands of styles I've never heard of but I personally haven't heard of an elephant fighting style or anyone that has.

On a side note: elephants are indigenous to Africa and parts of Asia if I'm correct, so that's a lead you could look into.

- Hope this helps

That's because Elephant style is part of Muay Thai Lerdit (military) it is not a sub style of animal like in Shaolin Kung-Fu.Elephant style is a calvary system of archery, lance, & spear off the back of Elephant's. It includes storming strong holds and dismounting soldiers from elephants. It is part of both Muy-Thai and Burmese millitary tactics.

There is an Elephant Style in Chinese MA.

I don't recall if its origin but I believe it is an older Clan/Family type art.

never heard of em
