I think he played multiple positions at the highest level in the history of baseball, He was originally a shortstop, converted to catcher, was rated as a top 3 catcher in baseball at one time. Could play any fielding position at a high level and when you consider that this includes the catcher position is truly amazing. Had a rifle arm, could throw a ball out of Tiger Stadium which was a very rare feat. Could hit a golf ball 350 yards. Hid teammates called him wonderboy because of his athleticism. As a hitter he broke Babe Ruth's record for grand slams in a month when he was with the Oakland A's. An injury cut his career short.
He last played in the Pittsburgh Pirates farm system (2013). Currently, he is hoping to get a call to join a team. He lives in Saline, Michigan.
He played third base for the pirates last season but does not have a contract for this season.
