I don't think Jerry really did. I know when pro wrestling started in the 1920s, they used to have matches where a man would wrestle a bear or a gorilla but thats considered inhumane nowadays so I'm guessing hes telling a tall tale.
It's unlikely, if he did the bear will have been tame/chained/crippled, in general wrestling an angry bear in good condition and winning (or even just coming out without serious injury) is an almost impossible feat to accomplish.
I don't know, but bradshaw wrote a book titled "have more money now", and in that book, he wrote about how he once wrestled an 800 lb. bear.
