Well if their emotions reside in anger and aggression then yea, they could channel that into fighting and have that edge, but on the other hand if its sadness and low self esteem then no.
But I think the best fighter is a person who is both very technical and aggressively motivated.
That person would dominate.

Ofcourse, emo/punk/metal/rap doesn't correlate with fighting abilities. As i saw, emo's are usually very sensitive so they get angry easily
