Can Concussions Damage your brain in fighting?

Absolutely it CAN....and does. Look at Muhammad Ali in his later years. Also Bruce Lee's death could be related to undiscovered brain damage from full contact fighting.

A concussion is damage to the brain. And it gets worse every time you have one. The effects are very bad, I recommend looking it up if you want the details.

This doesn't sound like a competition/sport fight, rather a street fight. Concussions can be common in fights. If you want a good way to help avoid concussions then don't get into any fights.

Yes it can and it will. The questions are how much & when? It depends on your body and the severity and the regularity of the concussions. If repetitive blows to the head of a fully grown man can leave him permanently damaged, there is no doubt it will have an effect on a teenager. All that being said, if you love to compete by all means keep at it..just be aware of the damage you are doing. All the best.

Everyone gave great answers. Even to add just look at NFL players. They have a 4 concussion rule for qb's. Look what happen to a few retired football great who killed themselves in the past couple years. Head injures can make life a living hell. Alot of the retired football players are in a big litigation against the NFL and manufacturers for head injuries and safety.

Concussions and head injuries are nothing to play with it is serious business.

A concussion is an injury to the brain

If you get enought damage to your brain you can flhave long term effects. Some people even have died from concussion
