I'll have to go with Angle but man, Benoit was great. Let's leave the tragedy at the end of his life aside and just focus on the wrestler and not the man. I think Kurt may be the greatest technical wrestler in the business' history. Benoit could fly a little bit though so I'm interested in hearing your opinions.

BONUS QUESTION: Who was more intense in the ring?

Kurt Angle. The guy had something Benoit lacked. Mic Skills and IMHO angle was better in the ring.

Olympic Gold is one hell of a credential, it's hard to argue with something like that. Of course there's a difference between pro and amateur wrestling, but Angle took to the pro game just fine. Could Benoit have taken to top level amateur wrestling in the same way? Who knows, quite possibly, but he didn't so that's that. Angle has to be the better overall wrestler in my book, by virtue of accomplishment (not saying that's all there is to it, but there's no gulf between their in-ring work of a kind to let Benoit surpass Angle when all's said and done).
