Honestly, not at all are they contenders. It's not like they're almost as good as the Pirates, Cardinals, and Reds, but they're wayyyy behind them. They're not that bad of a team though, just not near those three teams that are all possible 90-game-winners.

In my opinion because they are not a very strong team and are in a division with the Pirates, Cardinals and Reds who are all tough teams no they are not a contender this year.
